I forgot to mention about the Brits last week! Well not surprisingly it was pretty dull although some bits saved it. Is it wrong that I found Russel Brand so funny after all the slagging off I've done? I don't know how he got away with half of it. Worryingly, he seems to have the same kind of sociological commentary as me. I fear me. Anyway, rough Brits comments now:

  • Oasis are properly shit live aren' t they?!
  • Bands really have nothing to say anymore. Since when do bands thank their record companys?!
  • Take That know how to accept an award, weird that.
  • Amy Winehouse is actually brilliant
  • Where was the variety of live acts? That's enough guitars now, a bit of Girls Aloud wouldn't have gone amiss.
  • The sets were really good

That's about all I can be bothered to mention. Must try harder though, really. I must say that I was doing other stuff while I was watching it, thankfully. I'm an awful person to watch something like that with though, I just slag everything off all the way through it.

In other news, we have a leak in the house! Due to someone not putting the bath in correctly, water's been gathering above the kitchen sinc we moved in and it started dripping through. Thankfully, Glen the handyman has sorted it, even though he put a hole in the ceiling to get the water out :s

Illness watch: I'm feeling much better. I'm off work today but I hope I'm back tomorrow. It's been a grim weekend.

Despite the illness though I did some cooking with James help. I've made panna cotta to eat today and we did a tomato, onion and egg bake too. Yum yum.

I rang Emma last night and I'm glad I did. It's been too long and we had a good laugh catching up on everything. I can't believe she's moving back home to do a two year masters, hardcore! And she's an auntie now! It's all very strange but I do miss her and Chris. The funniest thing she said was that they went to a fancy dress dressed as chavs and on the bus home this 15 year old chav girl started on Chris! Fun times!

It's nice living with your boyfriend. James has just come back from work for his dinner, bearing a sandwich and a half priced Valentines cake. We had a takeaway for Valentines Day and I don't care much for it but when it comes to cheap taasty cake I'm not going to argue. He's been very good though and really looked after me. Pay back really for me looking after him the other week!

Yesterday we watched 'Cock and Bull Story' which I forgot to mention. I expected it to be funnier I have to say even though I did enjoy it. I'm not sure of what I think of Steve Coogan which might have had something to do with it. Rob Brydon was great though. James was happy enough to see Gillian Anderson pop up now and again whereas I was happy to see Stephen Fry pop up, so it wasn't all bad. Today I watched 'Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence' which should have been better too! It was visually stunning. Honestly, it's up there with 'Spirited Away' and 'Steamboy' for the most amazing thing I've ever seen. But the story either needed to be more coherant or more compelling, I can't decide which. I did like the dog though, and the sense of humour was good too so it wasn't all bad.

The real reason I'm posting is to put the mango tea bread recipe up which I should have done a while ago. Panna cotta is really easy to make too, we're having those tonight. I recommend it! (Well, I'm sure I will once I taste it!). Ricotta and lemon slces are on the menu at some point too. Mmmm tasty cooking.
