Are we there yet?
Mar. 18th, 2009 10:20 pmI love wireless internet. I'm updating this from bed. Wonderful! It's like a whole new world to me. It makes me forget that I'm constantly surrounded by boxes and that I move in two days. It cannot come soon enough. I've had enough of it all.
I forgot to mention the quiz we went to last Friday. It was at James' old school and although I was looking forward to seeing it the actual quiz was held in a new bit so I didn't get to see much of it at all. I think we were quite valued in the end. My astronomy knowledge got worked wonders at least and out of 27 teams we came fourth which is pretty good.
Last night we went to see West Side Story. We went to BRB beforehand for tasty pizzas. So there there was me, James, James' Mum, Helena, Helena's ex Rav, Amy, Laura and then we were joined by Vicky, Sandra and Gordon. Quite a random bunch of people I guess but it was a great night out. We got good seats too, at the front of the balcony. It's the first show in a while where I've not been able to fault anything about it. It really was that good. The dancing, the songs, and my God the voices were good. The leads were fairly operatic in their singing which worked really well. The only bad thing was the sodding fire alarm in the middle of the show. Honest, if there was a fire in the Grand then you'd be fucked because the corridors are so narrow that progress down the stairs was very slow and we hadn't even got out of the building before we were told we could go back. Very odd. But yes, great show and almost perfect in every way.
Work was hell today so I'm glad that I'm not at work until Monday now, when I'll be able to walk from my home to work in about 5 minutes. Wonderful. Still, that seems quite a way away at the moment.
