It's Behind You!

On Friday night we had the staff Xmas party. Obviously this wasn't at Xmas because we thought it'd be easier and nicer to arrange something after Xmas, so we went to the pantomime, Aladdin, at Stoke's Regent Theatre. And do you know what? It was really good! I was all ready to be cynical about it so I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the costumes and the how funny it was. This was mostly down to Widow Twankie. Really, there's nothing like a dame. Her costumes we amazing! At one point she came out dressed in a Macdonalds uniform with a massive hamburger on her head and then during a hilarious version of the twelve days of Christmas she was dressed as a giant fairy liquid bottle! Because I'm me I especially liked the smut she spouted. My own personal favourite being 'I'm like a rose, I'm hopeless in bed put great up against a wall'. Hehe. The sogns were irritatingly cheesey but ont he whole, the sets and costumes were really good, yeah, even Jonathan Wilkes and Janice from Corrie! Unfortunately Sarah was ill on the day and couldn't go which was such a shame since she organised it but we did rope Sian into going instead who absolutely loved it. She's really theatrical anyway so it was good to go with her since she got right into the spirit of it all. Small group as we were, consisting of me, Jackie, Mazza, Jan B, Liz and Sian, but we all had a lot of fun.
On Saturday me and my Dad went to Tesco to pick up some folding crate things in order for the big pack. And I also picked up a cake and card for work. On return to home I sorted through all of my books and videos, filling 5 carrier bags full of stuff. Mmm, spring cleaning :D And then in the eve I went to Feef's. We played DS which was lots of fun and she's recommended me graphic novels of which I have bought some. I'm just waiting for them to come now which is very exciting. I'm looking forward to reading something different :D Oh and Feef's given me a lovely fishy-themed picture she's painted for the new house. :D
I don't think I did much else over the weekend to be honest. Calm before the storm and all that, well, I hope so anyway, we're still waiting for the house to be sorted. I'll feel better once it's all done. I have a picture which I will put up when everything's finalised. :)
