Today has been a great success in the Oakes-Mason household. We finally got round to putting up the rest of our furniture, 4 pieces. The one we were working on was a bit of a pain so James got a bit grumpy. Thankfully our investment in an electric screwdriver/drill was very wise and we got it done in a fairly quick time. Note to self – Focus furniture = a bitch
I start my new job tomorrow! I’m not sure what to think really. It’s a little bit scary but I guess I’ll just get on with it. I’m not looking forward to the early starts I have to say. Thankfully they’ve let me come in at 9am as opposed to 8.30am so I can kind of ease myself in.
After the horror of getting locked into our own home on Friday a handyman came round to change our locks so we can actually get out of our house. And on Saturday we went to Leeds, firstly to do a dummy run of my work journey, timing walks etc and then we did some shopping. Always a problem when you go to Leeds, I must stay away from the shops when I start work! Weirdly I realised yesterday that Leeds College of Music links up to BBC Yorkshire next door so all those local TV heroes I remember from my Uni days may very well pop up! Paul the weatherman, Harry Grayshon (sp?), Christa Ackroyd, I’m going to pap them good!
