Well, you’ll be glad to know that I’m better. I was back at work yesterday even though I wasn’t feeling 100%. That’s dedication for you! Or maybe that what Michel Gondry does for you, he’s a magical cure, because I did end up watching his DVD for a good while. Today I am back to my normal self and I’m quite glad that I get a shorter working week! I’m also having a four day week next week too on account of me needing to use my leave up. James has got the long weekend off too and we’re wanting to go away somewhere, even somewhere abroad maybe but we might have left it a little too late. I’m still pushing for Scandanavia…

Yesterday me and James tried making pancakes. I don’t understand why they failed so miserably. Even one we tried just kept sticking to the pan, and we tried different ones. I used to be really good at them. Anyway, we gave up and had a takeaway, I don’t think it put either of us in a very good mood. Next the boycott begins. I shouldn’t even be celebrating it, what with being an atheist and all but I’m willing to a hypocrite for food (see also, Xmas, Easter etc).

| read magazine supplements while I was off too and felt very weird whilst I watched them because they made me react in ways in which I didn’t think I could. The Observer Music Monthly had an article about women artists making it in America. It did have a humourous quality to, desperately trying to show that the artists mentioned were both talented *and* interesting. One quote said that that Natasha Bedingfield had a ‘BA in Psychology, so she can write clever lyrics’ or something to that effect which was laughably scraping the barrel. Oh, and it confirmed (not that it needed confirming) that Joss Stone is a bit of an arse, and a mad one at that. Now what did surprise me was how much I liked KT Tunstall and her gutsy feminism vibe. I know I once said that she uses initials in her name to make up for her lack of personality and I do still think it’s silly but I liked her. I fear me.

I also watched the Culture Show and delighted in Regina Spektor (she’s so cute although ever since Lucy referred to her as Vagina Inspektor I can’t think about anything else! :s) and reports on why Gilbert and George are shit (literally!) and more Michel Gondry. I want to see the Science of Sleep but the only places in Yorkshire that are showing it are York and Sheffield! So a trip to York might be on the cards this week. Anyone want to come?!
