Same Old Fucking Story

magictreehouseI don't really have all that much to post about this week. I've vowed to not talk about work when I can so I will just say that this week has been utter hell and I really hate what I do. I need a new job. Thankfully, the wheels are in motion because I applied for a job on Monday. There a lot of things I'll need to get through to get it. It's odd though. It's at a public library in Keighley, managing a team of 8 and yet it's on the same pay grade as I'm on now (worse actually! I think it starts on £16k). It seems very bad money for what it is. The good thing is that it's in a library that specialises in archives and family history. My dream! The bad news is that it's full time so they'd need to let me off to go and study, oh, and it's temporary until June. BUT I'm optimistic regardless. I've got to get out, I've really go to.
Has anyone joined Spotify? (www.spotify.co.uk/en) I'm not one for music on the internet but when you're online it's a great way to try out new music. I've mostly been listening to Girls Aloud B-sides (I know, but the range is really good). When Napster hit at the turn of the century one of the 'plus' arguments was that it was a great way to trial music to see if you'd buy, so if you're into that it's really good. I like it anyway.
Can't you tell I'm scraping the barrel for stuff to say?! I feel like all I've done is listen to Cyndi Lauper and Kim Wilde on repeat.
Ooh, exciting stuff as this weekend Lucy is coming to visit. I'm making nice food and fully intend to get her pissed on my home made mulled wine. Mwhaha! Should be good though.
