Not a lot to report really. Job’s going fine although I don’t really have much to do, it just hasn’t warmed up yet. However, I’ve been to meetings and even booked my first meeting on my own which is impressive to no-one but me really but I was quite pleased! Things feel like they’re slowly getting going. It’s quite lonely work though I think, I don’t really help myself by burying my head in a book on breaks and stuff but still, there just aren’t many people that I really feel I can talk to. Saying that though, my supervisors, Sarah and Eleanor are really nice and I think once things are a little less hectic for them and my job’s got going then it’ll be ok. Today I was being shown an internet clip of how to fold your T-shirt in 2 seconds! I had a meeting with my prescribed ‘mentor’ yesterday at the bar across the road. His name was James and he was really sweet and quite nervous about the whole thing.

Speaking of James’ *my* James is still really ill. He’s been at home lounging around, not having the energy to do anything so he’s really bored too. So I’ve been super house husband in the evenings, looking after him and the house as well as earning a crust! Hehe, I don’t mind really.

I was thinking the other day, probably because I’ve met so many people with my new job at the moment, but aren’t people really similar? I mean, in a world where the media is always concentrating on the differences between people all I can think of is how most people I meet share a lot of similarities with other people I know. For example, Eleanor, who I work with, *is* a Lipsy. It’s strange that they’re so similar but they are. It’s not always so specific though. I mean, I can meet someone and just think, ‘yeah, I’ve met a so-and-so before’. It might be wrong to put people into such rigid categories but it’s actually no bad thing. Recognising things you know in other people just means that you know what to expect and also know how you react to that kind of person. So, yeah, thought for the day there!
