I didn't get any eggs! Not even one! I don't usually get them to be honest but really, it's still a little wrong. I think James was going to get me one but he's not been very well and so never made it out of the house.

Anyway, it's been ages since I made a post. I guess I'll have to go back to work (ugh) on Thursday. This was weird day actually. Firstly, I was told that while other people of my pay scale are going up a grade, I'm not. Before I arrived they'd put in an appeal to raise the grade of the other Administrative Officers and it's finally been granted. Mine wasn't put forward because it was a brand new post so they didn't know what it would be like. I'd be fine with this if it wasn't for the fact that despite Sarah being new (in the the job I originally went for), she's getting the rise too, just because it's an established post. So, I've been shafted then. It's just irritating, and annoying. Another reason to go back into libraries then? I need to sort that out actually. I've been trying to compare my course to the ones at Sheffield but their website's not working. Great!

So, the holidays then. I've been loving the time off I must say. Me and James went out with his work mates on the Thursday. Just to the pub but it was lots of fun. Wayne was making me laugh, he knows how to tell a story. And Mel too. Hehe. Yeah, it was nice to go out in Skipton for a change being as I still don't know anyone. The theatre is being most annoying. I wish they'd just tell me that they didn't need me yet instead of me sacrificing three night a week for sod all. Two weeks to go and still no sign of me actually doing anything. I didn't even bother on Friday. I will go tomorrow though.

James wasn't very well on Friday. Stomach bug I think would describe it adaquately. I'm still petrified that I'm going to get it :s Anyway, he's ok, it just means that all of our Easter plans have been put on hold really. Annoying but it can't be helped, and the time off has been good. I've been building lots of rollercoasters as a result!

On Saturday night me and James were due to go and see 'Spirit Of The Horse' at Skipton Auction Mart but as he wasn't very well I ended up going with his Mum! This was alright actually and we both enjoyed the show. It was different anyway. It was mostly horses doing tricks but a lot of it was done really well. It was a mix of people from The Netherlands, France, Spain and Mongolia. The Mongolians were easily the most impressive. One trick had a guy standing on two horses, going round and round, while someone else 'fed' another horse through his legs and in between the horses he was standing on. He'd then have to grab the reins of that horse as it went through. He ended up with four other horses in front of him, all while running round in a circle. Very impressive. There was also other brilliant acrobatics all on moving horses. Good stuff.

Today James was feeling mostly better so we went to Keighley and got a steam train to Bronte country. Haworth is really pretty if not very hilly and the train had proper traditional carriages. It's only a short line really but you get to see chickens and horses and sheep along the way. We had dinner in a Haworth cafe. Naturally I had a giant Yorkshire pudding with roast beef. Mmmm, Yorkshirey.

And now we're back home. We tried feeding the ducks earlier but they didn't seem hungry and we weren't going to waste our expensive bread on them. In other wildlife news (take note Gill), my Dad tells me that the robin is back! He wants a webcam so he can film them again so I'll have to buy him that one I keep promising him!

The only perk I've got from my job is that I've got tomorrow off too. Excellent. Oh, and I've been listening to Robyn a lot. She's the missing link between Annie and Peaches.

I'm officially back! We've installed the internet today with a rather flashy modem type thing too so we're all set up. Oh, how I've missed the internet, sad but true. We've also got a phone so if anyone wants my new number they are welcome to have it. I've also put my backdated diary entries up so if anyone is bored/curious then feel free to look back at my LJ. It's mostly gone well and we're pretty settled really although it'll take a while to get used to stuff fully, especially on my account, what with the complete life change and stuff.

The rest of the work week was fine although a little dull. I've had stuff to do which has been fine, I'll just have a lot more stuff to keep me busy once I know the whole job, There isn't much more to say really, it's all still a work in process but it's ok.

Thursday was nice because I went out for a drink with James and his workmates who are all really nice and fun. It did me a lot of good to actually do something social. I never thought it would effect me, not knowing anyone here apart from James and I'm ok with it mostly, but it was nice to go out all the same, even if it was only for an hour or two.

Yesterday my Mum came to Skipton for the first time. She was really impressed with the house and I think she felt better for seeing that I was doing ok. She sent me a lovely text message this morrning saying what a lovely day she'd had and that she thought that Skipton wa lovely. She's not wrong, Jimbob isn't the only reason I moved here! So after I showed her round the house I opened my post and a present, containing various house stuff and a card off my family which was very nice of them. The three of us then went round the market. Me and James found some towels and some lovely rugs and, oddly, there were some owls in the street! A Lancashire sanctuary was on the high street with lots of diferent kinds of owls so we watched them for a little bit. It was really lovely actually and I've never seen anything like it before. I then took my posse for lunch. We had a natter, came back to the house and then out again, this time to the castle. Now I'd never been to the castle either. James used to work there and he still knows some of the people still there and he got us in for free! There isn't much in the way of exhibits there but it's nice to walk around and the views are great. And that about covers the day. I saw my Mum off on to the train and then we went to James old house to collect a few more of his books and things and didn't do much else, apart from watching QI. I was really glad to see my Mum so I enjoyed yesterday a lot :)

Today we've done less. Setting up the internet took a while and we've wandered around town. I've got the whole Sonic the Hedgehog collection to play, horrah! I'm liking computer games at then moment. I've also got Zoo Tycoon which is brilliant. Well, anything where you make dinosaur exhibits is going to be a winner with me.

Anyway, there's not much more to say so here's some pictures:
